In my early days, it was very good to have 2 cousins, Mavis and Beryl, as if they were my sisters as we grew older we went are seperate ways of course but we kept in touch like a close family, she was a few years older than me and was never slow in coming forward to make her opinions known - certainly she was no shrinking violet and good to have on your side in games or aurguments. I shall always remember her with great affection and like to recall our happy days of childhood together and regret, I cannot be present to say goodbye at her funneral.
